They were all given the same tranquillizing drug for three weeks, but each week it was a different color red, yellow or green.
Small but significant improvements were reported in patients using the same drug but in a different color. Depressed patients responded best to the yellow pills, those with anxiety symptoms did better with the green ones. No one seemed to like the red pills much. Markley is a physicist who specializes in adhesives at the commission's laboratory in Argonne, 111.
